Sphalerite Crystals, Lockport, New York

This is an interesting piece in which small, lustrous, yellow sphalerite crystals have formed together on matrix with drusy dolomite crystals. The overall dimensions of this piece are 1.8 cm wide by 2 cm tall and 1.3 cm front to back. It is from La Farge Corp. Quarry, Lockport, Niagara County, New York, USA. There appears to be no damage to the sphalerite. Ex Richard Heck collection.
