Witherite and Fluorite Crystals, Minerva No. 1 Mine, Illinois

A lustrous mound of faintly golden witherite with minor bits of purple fluorite is well displayed in this specimen from Minerva No. 1 Mine, Cave-in-Rock, Hardin County, Illinois. This piece measures overall 6.3 cm wide by 4.6 cm tall and 3.9 cm front to back. The only damage to this piece is in the form of minor contacts.
