Calcite Crystals on Matrix, Pau, France

Clear, twinned calcite crystals formed on a contrasting, tan matrix in this specimen from Pau, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Aquitaine, France. This piece measures 9.3 cm wide by 4.6 cm tall and is 4.3 cm front to back. Damage is not easily spotted on this piece but there is a little damage at the edges of the piece and miniscule abrasions to a few crystal edges.
