Fluorite Crystals, Okorusu Mine, Namibia

These cube-octahedrons of fluorite are dark red-purple with good luster but the luster is somewhat offset by complex stepped faces. The specimen is from the Okorusu Mine, Otjiwarongo Region, Karibib District, Namibia. This piece measures 14 wide by 5.9 tall and 3.6 cm front to back. There is a little scuffing here and there plus contact damage at the edges. The back of the piece has been thinned to show the crystal colors better.
